ACTIVE PHYSIOTHERAPY and sports injury clinic

WHY PHYSIO? . . . What we treat

Everyone expects a physiotherapist to deal with sports and soft-tissue injuries like the strains, sprains and bruising to muscles, ligaments, cartilages, nerves and tendons.

But there are a huge range of other conditions that physiotherapists treat. For example, neck and back disorders, including prolapsed discs, sciatica, lumbago, referred leg and arm pain, as well as the consequences of whiplash injury caused in car accidents.

We also cope with joint problems like arthritis, rheumatism, degenerative changes and general swelling or stiffness in shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips and knees. Additionally, foot and ankle abnormalities, resulting in walking or running difficulties, can be analysed and corrected.

Increasingly, we are treating work-related conditions like repetitive strain injury and postural dysfunction, which are alleviated using traditional methods as well as personal ergonomic assessment and preventative advice.
